Birthday Resolutions

This is my very first birthday resolutions in forty two years as far as I remember.

There is no such customs, yet why don't I make one here.

Here it goes; I'll strive to make the rest of my life flourish, being reminded I'm still on the half way through.

Only half way through. Imagine that.

In three years, I'd like to establish my own unique, proprietary market position. By then, I'll have my son having interests in learning and playing sports on his own just before elementary school, so I'd love to take a close look and good care of him nearby.

In ten years, I'd like to extend my business framework. By then, my son would reach puberty no longer needing his mom. I'd love to embrace him while being prepared to grow apart.

In twenty years, I'd like to grow my business ecosystem in steady, manageable manner. By then, my son would be working on his own career, so I'd be happy to work on my own too.

All through the time, I wish the happiness of my family and my husband.

Well, easy to say, not that easy to practice.

That reminds me of some great authors of the same generations.

For example, I've been reading Haruki Murakami's "Tooi-Taiko" ("Far Drum-roll") over and over again and feeling sympathy only to his severe fatigue (unfortunately not to his creativeness of masterpiece).

Also, I skimmed through "Lean In" of Sheryl Sandburg and felt behind (as well as encouraged) being at the same age of the her.

So, what I found is the life is a mixture of fun and pity.

I'll take advantage of it. What else can I say? I'll strive, strive, strive.

A Shinto shrine gave me a good will pray being accompanied by my son on the New Year.
